When ordering watch books, make sure to read whether the book is currently in stock and how long delivery is likely to take.  Some books are carried in very low volume, others carried in large numbers can see their stock volume drop quickly especially if it is a new release that several people have been waiting for.

Another thing to consider is, when buying yearly publications, such as watch books that are released as annuals, if you are in search of information on a particular watch currently available it may not appear in the current years book. For example, manufacturers of timepieces may rename a particular model slightly if a change has been made, or, expensive limited editions are likely to only be listed in the year of release.

As with buying watches themselves, read terms and conditions and FAQ before ordering books.  

Book reviews are often available and should be read understanding that different people expect different things from watch books.  Some are just after the basic information, while others are in search of very technical details and are therefore after something that is more like a watch textbook.
